Nicola Abel-Hirsch, FIPA (presenter)

Nicola Abel-Hirsch, FIPA, is a training and supervising psychoanalyst of the British Psychoanalytical Society. She has presented on Bion’s work in the UK, Taiwan (annually 2005-2012), the USA, and Europe. From 2013–2015 she was a visiting professor at the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex. Abel-Hirsch edited Hanna Segal’s last book Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow (2007); is the author of Bion 365 Quotes (2019) and Bion: An Introduction (2023), and is a co-author of Bion in the Consulting Room: An Implicit Method of Clinical Inquiry (2024). Under the auspices of Understanding Primitive Mental States (Susan Finkelstein, Chair) she is currently presenting a series of seminars on Bion’s work.
